How's that for a title? ;) I spent yesterday making this skirt and taking approximately 300 pictures of the process. :D But, those are for something special, and I can't reveal anything yet. *grin*
I drafted the wide waistband, copied the fly from a pair of jeans, learned how to do buttonholes, and lined the pockets with fun striped fabric- all firsts! So thankful it all worked out. :)
Stripes make me happy. :D
The fabric is light weight (about 6.5oz, to be specific) so it drapes nicely.
The buttons (they have little eagles on them) were from my great-grandmother's stash.
You know those little useless pockets inside the other pockets of jeans? Well, I varied that idea and made a diagonal pocket. :D
So... sorry to just whet your appetite for what is coming, but I really wanted to share! :D Any guesses?
